What this site keeps in your browser, what for, and how to delete it.

Summary
Filacoste sets no tracking cookies of its own. What it stores on your machine by itself is local information you trigger by using the tool, and it never leaves your browser. On top of that, the site loads Google AdSense, which can set its own advertising cookies: for those you are asked for consent first, and you can reject them.

None of this is a cookie in the strict sense: it is data kept by the browser itself and never sent to the server in any request.
Advertising
With advertising switched on, Google AdSense sets its own cookies and identifiers to serve ads, cap how often you see the same one and measure performance. They are not necessary for the calculators: if you reject them, everything still works.
While the review is under way no ads are shown. Once they start, you will be able to accept or reject those cookies in the consent notice, change your decision whenever you want, and delete them from your browser settings. The details are in how Google uses cookies.
On the legal pages, the contact page and the error page the advertising script is not loaded at all, so there are no ad cookies there under any circumstances.
How to delete what is stored
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data → See all site data → find this site → Delete.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data.
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete.
You can also use private browsing: the tools work exactly the same, they simply remember nothing once you close the window.
